Myer Fire

Unfortunately it wasn't business as per usual for Rouleston's the week after 22nd September 2007. After 2 entire days of watching our building nearly succumb to the Myer inferno, it was the disheartening task of assessing the smoke and water damage. The tally included loss of carpet, ceilings, phone systems, computers, archive files and pieces of furniture.

As at 22nd November, 2 months to the day, we are finally back in our rightful home!!

We would like to thank the many loyal clients who phoned, emailed, and who sent cards and gifts of support during such an extremely awkward time. Your support and well wishes were very kind and certainly helped us through.

A special thank you to the Tasmania Fire Service and our contact Markus Skelly for saving our building, for their assistance with allowing us to continually access our premises at inopportune times, and for their help in relocating our computers and equipment!

In addition, we would like to thank the members of the Tasmania Police Force, in particular Constables Craig Stockdale and Danny Jackson, and Senior Constable Nicholas Smith, who persistently kept us informed each step of the way, and who went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting us in our recovery efforts.

Finally, our sincere thanks go to Steven Page, Cheryl Brierly and the team at The Income Tax Professionals (ITP) in Criterion Street, who housed our business for the last 6 weeks. Without ITP, life certainly would have been a lot tougher during that time.
